accurate diagnosis is of vital importance. Antigen detection is very important in this respect. Over the years several methods for the detection of Aspergillus antigens have been published (1, 3, 4). Haynes ' method uses concentrated urine specimens which are electrophoresed on sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gels and blotted to polyvinyldifluoride paper. The blotted antigens are detected by a detector serum, rabbit serum directed against cell wall antigens from Aspergillus fumigatus. Haynes also published the molecular weights of antigens which he claims to be specific for aspergillosis.
