PULMONARY paragonimiasis has rarely been studied in the United States. The case to be presented, the first admitted to the Columbia-Presbyterian Med-ical Center, afforded an unusual opportunity for the investigation of this dis-ease, which is found predominantly in the Orient. CASE REPORT A 29 year old Chinese merchant marine officer was admitted to the Medical Service of the Presbyterian Hospital in March, 1956, because of 16 months of cough productive of blood-tinged sputum. There was no history of parasitic disease or serious illness in any member of his immediate family.
