Case: We present a case of Takotsubo cardiomyopathy associated with cardiogenic shock following reverse total shoulder arthroplasty in an eighty-three-year-old man with no history of cardiopulmonary medical problems. Takotsubo cardiomyopathy was diagnosed with emergency cardiac catheterization and angiography. The patient was managed with supportive measures that included the placement of a ventricular assist device. Conclusion: The patient recovered without any permanent cardiac sequelae.
