Individuals with schizophrenia display substantial neuro-cognitive deficits for which available treatments offer only limited benefits. Yet, findings from studies of animals, clinical and nonclinical populations have linked neurocog-nitive improvements to increases in aerobic fitness (AF) via aerobic exercise training (AE).
