Pathologists are part of the core team of breast units, together with surgeons and radiologists. This means that they do not only play a diagnostic role for breast cancer, as used in the past, since they are requested for pre- and postoperative role in planning the therapeutic approach. Meetings for planning treatment of single cases are of basic importance, and also as an occasion for other spe-cialists to understand our problems of morphological in-terpretation. Such meetings are a stimulus so that patholo-gists can better afford the new requests imposed by a rap-idly changing scenario.
