Biometric authentication systems are more and more deployed in replacement of traditional authentication systems. Security of such systems is required in real-world applications and constitutes a major challenge in biometric field. An ef-ficient approach of this issue is realized by cancelable biometrics. However, the security of such biometric systems is often overestimated or based on restrictive as-sumptions. This paper presents and investigates a PIN-based variant for cancelable biometrics applied to fingerprint, achieving 0-EER and templates diversity.
