The behavioural variant of frontotemporal dementia (bvFTD) is a rare disease mainly affect-ing the social brain. FDG-PET fronto-temporal hypometabolism is a supportive feature for the diagnosis. It may also provide specific functional metabolic signatures for altered socio-emotional processing.
