Background: Interferon-c (IFN-c) plays an important role in the proceedings of vitiligo through recruiting lymphocytes to the lesional skin. However, the potential effects of IFN-c on skin melanocytes and the subsequent contribution to the vitiligo pathogenesis are still unclear.
