Over the past decades, stress/rest myocardial perfusion SPECT (MPS) has been utilized as a standard modality for the diagnosis, risk stratification and prognostic assessment of coronary artery disease (CAD). In addition to the perfusion information, MPS can also provide functional information of the left ventricle, including volume, ejec-tion fraction, wall motion and dyssynchrony. This article introduces the incremental value of these non-perfusion parameters as markers and prognosticators of CAD
