Background and PurposezzThe importance of health-related quality of life (HrQoL) has been increasingly emphasized when assessing and providing treatment to patients with chronic, progressive, degenerative disorders. The 39-item Parkinson’s disease questionnaire (PDQ-39) is the most widely used patient-reporting scale to assess HrQoL in Parkinson’s disease (PD).
