0.045; wR factor = 0.124; data-to-parameter ratio = 12.4. The title compound, C16H15NO4, exhibits two near-planar aromatic ester groups with a maximum aryl–ester torsion angle of 1.9 (2). The dihedral angle between the benzene rings is 44.7 (1). In the crystal, N—H O hydrogen bonding is observed along with C—H O contacts, forming chanins along [101].
