Background Older adults (OA) represent a diverse group of individ-uals with varied and complex health profiles and needs [1]. For that reason, they are a priority for policy and guidance in relation to physical activity (PA) and Public Health [1,2]. Consequently, to optimise adherence re-searchers need to investigate how to effectively design and deliver such approaches [3]. This study explores the initial impact and implementation of a national programme of PA interventions for OA delivered in/by professional football clubs.
