Abstract. Background: Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is the most common childhood cancer representing 23 % of pediatric cancers. Wilms ' tumor-1 gene is a novel prognostic factor, minimal residual disease marker and therapeutic target in acute leukemia.
