Neurodegeneration refers to the progressive loss of struc-ture or function of neurons and it can lead to devastating neurological conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease (AD), Parkinson’s disease (PD), Huntington’s disease (HD), and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
