Background-—Atrial fibrillation (AF) results in significant morbidity and mortality. Genome-wide association studies (GWAS) have identified genetic variants associated with AF. Whether genetic variants associated with AF are also associated with atrial structure, an intermediate phenotype for AF, has had limited investigation.
