In the crystal, the anions and cations are linked by N—H O and O—H O hydrogen bonds to form infinite two-dimensional networks parallel with the a unit-cell face. The conformation adopted by the cation in the crystal is very similar to that adopted by the same cation in the structures of the nitrate and tetrahydrogen pentaborate salts.
