Endovascular treatment has been increasingly performed for unruptured intra-cerebral aneurysms. However, thromboembolic complications, which develop mostly within 48 hours after the procedure, are the most common and major complications of endovascular treatment. We present a rare case of delayed symptomatic thromboembolism in an ischemic stroke patient who had under-gone coil embolization for unruptured middle cerebral artery (MCA) aneurysm.
