Abstract:- Portland cement, as an ingredient in concrete, is one of the widely used construction materials, especially in developing countries. The CO2 emission during its production and the utilisation of natural resources are important issues for the construction industry to participate in sustainable development. These days the waste materials of industries is on its way to increase day by day due to strict environmental policies and this waste contains SCMs generally. They can be utilised not only to improve properties of concrete but also to prevent pollution due to reduction in carbon dioxide emission.
