ABSTRACT: Forest cover change is an important part of global environmental change, which could induce a series of bad effects to the environment. And the forest cover change detection is indispensable for sustainable forest management. Considering the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectro-radiometer (MODIS) can provide global vegetation condition in a large temporal and spatial scale, it plays a significant role in monitoring the vegetation change.
