Development of Distance Education Approach and Application in Türkiye

Education always has an important role for the development of individuals and nation’s development. But reaching education in equal opportunities were not possible for every individuals in the community. The idea of having a new way of education method which is not bounded by place, time and buildings created distance education. The developments in technology made it easier to benefit that way of education which has lots of advantages compared to classical way. In this study distance education in Türkiye is reviewed using literature review technique including history, advantages of distance education. Also some implementations are mentioned. 1
