Tens of thousands of vacant and abandoned structures exist in Ohio, and for many of these structures, demolition is the only option. But demolition is expensive. Municipalities and counties, with limited financial resources, are unable to keep pace with the need for removal of these blighted properties. Thriving Communities Institute, a program of Western Reserve Land Conservancy, has actively pursued new sources of funding for demolition.
