KORZYBSKI AND GENERAL SEMANTICS*

We frequently receive requests for a simple, short statement to use in response to the question, "Yes, but what is general semantics? " The following paper by our English colleague George Doris strikes us as one of the most successful recent attempts we have seen. We present it, not as an explanation for readers of the $ulletiri, but as an example of how a popular yet rigorous presentation can be made.
