Link-quality measurements provide insight into the radio-channel behaviour in a wireless sensor network. We perform packet-error tests in order to measure the link quality. During such a test, packets are sent from a transmitting node to a receiving node. Counting the correct received packets allows characterizing the link quality between the nodes. In this thesis an application for automated link measurements was implemented on the BTnode using the Chipcon CC1000 low-power radio. Our application performs packet-error tests and provides additional tracing functionality to determine packet-loss time dependency.
