Abstract-The Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) is one of the most usable transport layer protocol for Internet access across heterogeneous platform. The TCP was mainly designed for wired network and it's assumes packet loss in the network only due to the congestion, but In wireless network scenario is somewhat different. Compared to wired network, wireless links are slow and less reliable. The loss of packets due to link failure or user movement in wireless part is much more higher compared to loss due to congestion. TCP degrades its performance when it’s used over wireless link. Various TCP enhancements proposed in the paper diverge in their signaling and data recovery mechanisms, applicable network configurations, traffic scenarios...
