Background: Uterine cervical cancer in Albania is among the ten most frequent cancers in women, and among top ten cancers with the highest mortality. Cervical cancer was treated by radiation only until 2004. This treatment was changed to concurrent radiation and chemotherapy also known as concurrent radiation in the same year. Aims: To compare five-year recurrence-free survival among patients treated with concurrent chemoradiation and those treated with radiation only. Study design: Retrospective cohort study.
