The study concerned itself with the role of Social Studies teachers ’ variables on the performance of Senior High School students ’ in social studies in Ghana. The purpose of the study was to find out if social studies teachers’ variables had any influence on the performance of Senior High School (SHS) students ’ performance in social studies. A descriptive survey design was used for the study which involved 635 social studies teachers and 74,249 Senior High School 2 students across the 36 Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDA’S) Ghana.
