Abstract: A theoretical analysis, of the processes for gas purification from low SO2 concentration in the thermal power plants, is presented. A new approach, for qualitative analysis (convection-diffusion type of model) and quantitative description (average concentration model) of the absorption processes in column apparatuses, is proposed. The theoretical analysis of the physical absorption, chemical absorption and absorption with two-phase absorbent, is shown.
