A Wireless Sensor Network is a wireless network that consists of spatially distributed devices called sensor nodes. Sensor nodes are having sensing, data processing and communication functionalities. The sensor nodes are usually programmed to monitor or collect data from surrounding environment and pass the information to the base station for remote user access through various communication technologies (network).The main aim of this paper is to propose a solution to improve the life time of the network by reducing the number of active nodes that participate in communication.
