In the recent years, embedded systems have become so complex that the development and testing time is becoming extremely time consuming. As embedded systems include more and more functions for new services, embedded systems are presenting challenges with respect to the attributes of security, scalability availability, and performance with deterministic behavior. This paper presents the issues that affect testing process and technologies, which can be ameliorated by Rational Test Real-Time (RT-RT).
