In this paper some applications of boundary element method are given to solve 3D acoustic problems in an exterior domain. The Burton-Miller technique is also used to ensure the uniqueness of solutions. In order to improve efficiency, Adaptive Cross Approximation is used to deal with both the system matrix and the vector, and the GMRES algorithm is adopted as the iteration solver. Three examples are presented to illustrate the effectiveness and accuracy of the method
