The EVN mission is to enable discovery in radio astronomy through innovative VLBI in-strumentation and the management of shared radio astronomy facilities within Europe and with affiliates in other countries. This document describes the vision of the EVN for the period until the year 2015. The first section presents the technical and operational possibilities that are available in 2007 or are to be available in the coming years for the development of the EVN.
