140.1. EXTRACURRICULAR PARTICIPATION BY CHARTER/CYBER CHARTER STUDENTS

The Board shall approve participation in the district’s extracurricular activities and interscholastic athletic programs by a student enrolled in a charter or cyber charter school if all of the following conditions are met: 1. The student is a resident of the school district. 2. The charter or cyber charter school does not provide the same extracurricular activity or interscholastic athletic program. 3. The student fulfills all requirements for participation in the activity or program required for district students. The Board shall not provide transportation for individual students enrolled in charter or cyber charter schools who participate in the district’s extracurricular activities or interscholastic athletic programs. 2. Guidelines Charter and cyber charter school students shall be given an equal opportunity to compete for positions in extracurricular activities and interscholastic athletic programs.
