Roundtable with Partner Groups Terms of Reference The Roundtable with Partner Groups is a committee of the Board and is chaired by a Board of Education Appointed Trustee. Terms of Reference:

1. The purpose of the District Roundtable is to bring together, on an ongoing basis, partners groups, senior staff and the Board of Education to have informal discussions about how to support the Board of Education in its governance role locally and as an advocate for public education provincially. 2. The discussions will be purposeful, constructive and team-building in nature. The Roundtable will provide partner groups, senior staff and the Board of Education a venue where building and sustaining healthy relationships and discussion of issues takes place away from formal processes and formal meeting structures. 3. Labour relations or personnel matters will be addressed through district labour management meetings. 4. The District Roundtable will offer a venue for parties to discuss ways to work together in support of students, our school district and public education – building trust and sustaining strong functional relationships, strengthening communication, funding, accountability measures, planning for the healthy future of the school district, for example. 5. An annual schedule of meetings will be developed by the Board of Education. An agenda will be developed for each meeting with input from all participants. At the conclusion of each District Roundtable discussion – agreed upon courses of actions and next steps will be circulated to each participant. In order to facilitate open discussion – no formal minutes will be circulated. 6. The participants will evaluate the effectiveness of the Roundtable annually
