Despite the clinical evaluation that a dental implant never achieves full contact with supporting bone, many studies consider the secondary stability of an implant as a fully osseointegration between the implant and its surrounding bone. The present work evaluated the implant stability in transition to the secondary stability through a finite element analysis. Further, it was investigated whether it is needed to have a secondary stability as a full osseointegration for an implant success or not.
