To the Editor: Mayer-Rokitansky-Küster-Hauser (MRKH) syn-drome, comprising utero-vaginal atresia in otherwise phenotypically normal women with a normal kar-yotype (46,XX), has an incidence of about 1/5,000 among newborn girls. Anomalies of the genital tract range from upper vaginal atresia to total Müllerian agenesis (congenital absence of the Fallopian tubes, uterus, and upper vagina).
