Abstract: We present a new approach for greenfield and incremental optical network capacity allocation under dynamic lightpath demands. The method can improve lightpath blocking performance by one or two orders of magnitude compared to conventional designs. ©2008 Optical Society of America OCIS codes: (060.4250) Networks; (060.425) Networks, network optimizatio
