Multicore processors have been established in the multicore embedded real-time system domain. Several applications that used to be implemented in dedicated hardware, such as digital signal processing algorithms and baseband processing in wireless communication, can now be ported to software with similar performance and more support flexibility for developers (e.g., bug fixes, online updating, maintainability) [1].
