ASSISTANCE TO THEIR SELECTION

Projects have spread into companies and are more and more risky, because of tight constraints, uncertainty, complexity and change. Then, risk management is a very important issue in project management. As there are more and more available methods in the literature, it is becoming increasingly difficult to choose the right one. Our goal in this paper is to provide a project office, a project manager or a decision-maker with one or more adequate Project Risk Management (PRM) methods for this project(s). In order to achieve this goal, we first investigate all the available methods in the project management field and the criteria that should be considered for the choice. This leads us to propose a typology of PRM methods and a list of criteria that should be considered when choosing the methods, by screening and ranking. Perspectives of this work will be to propose a Multi Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) model that could be used to select the methods
