A study of adult salmon and steelhead migrations past dams, through reservoirs, and into tributaries of the Snake River began in 1990 with planning, purchase, and installation of radio telemetry equipment. Adult spring and summer chinook salmon were outfitted with transmitters in 1991-1993, and adult steelhead were outfitted in 1991-1994. Part I of the final report includes a general introduction, methods that apply to all segments of the work, and information on passage of chinook salmon.
