The primary aim of the course is to provide students with value, knowledge and skills on social work intervention with communities. By the end of the course, students should be able to: a. Understand the nature, principles and knowledge base of community work: include the concept of empowerment and strength perspective. b. Identify various stages of community work intervention, and the roles of a social worker in respective stages; c. Understand the different conceptual models in community work practice, and apply these models in intervention planning; d.
