Abstract- By including multiple cores on a single chip, Chip Multiprocessors (CMP) are emerging as promising ways of utiliz-ing the additional die area that is available due to process scaling at smaller semiconductor feature-size technologies. However, such an execution environment with multiple hardware context threads on each individual core, that is able to execute multiple threads of the same or different workloads, significantly diverges from the typical, well studied, uniprocessor model and introduces a high level of non-determinism.
