Multi-Electrically Driven Liquid Crystal (MDLC) Lens for 2D/3D switching display was proposed utilizing non-uniform electric field by multi-electrode to yield 2D/3D switchable images. Comparing with previously reported structures of other ways of switching, MDLC lens is more competitive in respect of structure simplicity, performance and has no LC alignment issues.
