Smartphones and other internet capable mobile devices are booming in pop-ularity. Pocket-sized computers are now another welcome distraction to stu-dents, both in and out of the classroom. Unfortunately, Math is not becoming any more fun to learn. The solution isn’t less technology in the classroom, but more of it. Mobile devices have proven to be great tools for entertain-ment and social networking, but now it’s education’s turn. I have created an iPhone Application which applies elements of game theory in a game designed to teach arithmetic. Factor Friends makes learning core Math and Computer Science concepts an engaging, multiplayer competition.
