In this paper, the design of a whispering gallery resonator excited by a dielectric image guide is presented for sensing applications. A brief overview of the resonance perturbation method on whispering gallery mode is given. Simulation results are demonstrated, and compared against measurements for frequencies above 100 GHz. 1
