Autonomously operating parafoil systems are considered as adequate means to precisely deliver aerial cargo to almost everywhere on ground. Thus, development work has started and is ongoing globally and first generation systems are already fielded. From a system design point of view, a sound understanding of the parafoil aerodynamic and dynamic behavior is needed to support the overall design process. The present paper aims on identifying the parafoil's specific aerodynamic and dynamic characteristics applying pure numerical methods.
