Reintroduction is a valuable tool for conservation and the frequency of them is increasing. A number of studies have suggested ways of improving them by comparing the methods and outcomes of previous reintroduction cases in the literature. An analysis such as this has never been carried out exclusively for reptiles, which may possess attributes that make them react differently from other taxa to particular management techniques. A database of all available reptile reintroduction projects was compiled and analysed statistically using logistic regression analysis using two criteria for reintroduction success.
