This paper describes a Dedicated Short Range Communications (DSRC) software-defined radio (SDR) which demonstrates the use of an integrated modeling and hardware design environment. Reconfigurable hardware in the form of a Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) serves as the hardware platform for the design. Intuitive interfaces between the simulation and hardware design models allow incremental system development with fine granularity
