The exploration and visualization of hierarchical and multi-dimensional datasets is a fundamental challenge. In this assignment you will implement a widely used visual representation: parallel coordinates. The goal of the assignment is two-fold. First, you will gain experience designing and implementing a variety of interaction mechanisms to support data exploration. And second, you will evaluate the effectiveness of parallel coordinates on a variety of multidimensional data sets. This assignment promotes sketching out some ideas on paper before coding interaction and furthers your understanding and experience programming in Processing. To start, you need to understand what parallel coordinates are and how they can be used. I have provided ...
