The focus of this thesis is on studying various packet scheduling and resource block (RB) allocation algorithms, for di↵erent flow requirements and architecture. In the second chapter, we investigate packet scheduling and resource allocation algorithms for realtime (RT) and non-realtime (NRT) packet-switched flows, in an orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) wireless net-works. We start by specifying di↵erent quality-of-service (QoS) requirements for RT and NRT flows and present di↵erent packet scheduling and RB allocation algorithms based on the bit-rate utilities and the delay utilities, in a harmonized manner.
