Abstract. In this paper the electromagnetic problem is solved by both nodal and Galerkin hybrids Finite Element Method (FEM) – Boundary Element Method (BEM). The hybridization process produce a more powerful method because it inherit the most important advantages of each individual technique while cast away its main disadvantages. This is especially true when non-homogeneous materials characterize two or more regions where one of them is the free space. The individual boundary element method is well suitable to hold the free space because it incorporates the Somerfeld radiation condition while finite element method is the best to treat inhomogeneous ones.
